and a partridge in a pear tree

Today I am sharing the instructions for my Partridge punch art card.

The greeting is an old SU stamp. I split the 3 words by punchign each with the word window punch (SU), 2 are double punch to shorten the label. These are then mounted onto the modern label (SU), one is trimmed as well.
All pieces are inked along the edge, and the bird has been inked and detailed with black marker.

Full instructions for the partridge punch art is below.

Come back tomorrow for my Christmas tree punch art card.

Dove Christmas Card

Today we'll take a closer look at my Dove Christmas card.

The green background strips were embossed with the Spellbinders Flora embossing template and then mounted onto black. The greeting is from an old SU stamp set on the curly label (SU), mounted onto EK's large flourish label.
The punch art dove is mounted on a 52mm s.giant oval (PB)
I also accented the card with various gems.

Full instructions for the punch art dove below.

Two ornaments card

Let's take a closer look at my two ornaments punch art card.

Just like yesterday's card, this one doesn't require a punch art recipe.

Card base and black mat were embossed using the Provocraft Swirls embossing folder.
The greeting is an old SU stamp on an large EK flourish label.
I inked over the embossing with silver to add more depth to the design.
The ornamenets are embelished with a north star punch (EK papershaper). I also punched the top part of the SU ornamenet in silver for the hanger.
Both ornaments have been hung with silver thread and were accented with a bow.
I also added a large red crystal to the red one and 4 small clear crystals to the corners of my greeting mat.

Hope you come back tomorrow for another punch art card.

Ornament Card

Lets start out this week with an easy one, the single ornament Christmas card.

The instructions  are quite simple, yet (I think) this card looks very elegant.

I embossed silver glitter cartdstock with the Provo Craft Swirl embossing folder and then punched my ornament (SU).
I mounted it on a large label (flourish by EK). This was matted onto 2 of the same label punch that I cut in half. The first was cut legnth wise and the other widthwise. Adhering these onto the back of the black label,  overlapping slightly at the corners, creates a mat effect.
The grey and white cardstock are embossed with the Flora Spellbinder embossing folder. I also used a corner punch (PB) at the top left of my grey mat.
The greeting is an old SU stamp on a double punched curly label (SU); which is matted with a double punched large flourish label (EK).
I then accented the card with a few gems and a red ribbon bow.

Come back tomorrow for another one of my Christmas punch art card.

Christmas punch art cards 5

This week I decided on a more simple and classy approach to punch art.

Four of the cards are much simpler in design (couldn't help myself with the partridge card, too simple just wasn't going to work).

Come back for visits throughout the week for close-ups and instructions for each of the cards shown above.

Penguin Christmas card

As promised, today we have my penguin punch art card.

I used a few random snowflakes on the background (medium PB and small EK punch). The ground is a torn piece of white cardstock. All edges were inked with Colorbox inks and the cheeks were chalked in red. I added a little red ribbon bow and popped the bottom of the beak with a foam square. The greeting is an old SU stamp on a deco label (SU).

Full instructions for the penguin punch art below.
** Edit. I recently noticed that the instructions below have a small error. I forgot to add the image for the blossom petal shape that is used for the wings. It is noetd in the punch list though.

If you decide to draw the little black eyes, you really only require 2 punches to make him.

Come back tomorrow for this weeks last punch art project - Rudolph.

Snowman Card

Today we have my happy snowman Christmas card.

As with all my punch art projects, all edges were inked with Colorbox inks. The greeting (an old SU stamp) is on a deco label (SU) and the background snowflakes are a medium (BP) and small (EK) snowflake punch. The edges of the scarf were cut into fringe with scissors.

Full instructions below.

Come back tomorrow for a close-up and instructions for the penguin card.

Gingerbread Card

Today we have the gingerbread couple Christmas card.

The bodies are quite simple and don't require a lot of punches.
The greeting is an old SU stamp. All edges were inked with Colorbox inks. The background heart is a mega 2" heart (Nankong). One could easily substitute a different mega or super giant heart punch, or a heart die cut.

Full instructions for the gingers below.

Come back tomorrow for another one of this weeks Christmas punch art projects.

Polar Bear Christmas

This cute Christmas card was inspired by the Coke commercials that ar eon TV every Christmas in North America. I was really tempted to put a coke bottle on this, but am afraid my European family wouldn't understand why it's there.

I can't really take credit for the general design of the bear. I've seen several cards with a polar bear online. I however have not seen any instructions for them so came up with my own to get the same kind of look.

The greeting on the card is an old SU stamp. As always all edges are inked with Colorbox ink. I also added blue chalk to the cheeks and the torn "snow" paper. The snowflakes are a medium PB punch and a small EK papershaper. The instructions for the Santa hat can be found here in an earlier blog post of mine.

Instructions for my version of the polar bear below.

Stick Horse Christmas Tag

Today's project is the cute little stick horse toy.

The tag is a large Accut cut tag die. I mounted the piece onto a s. giant 52 mm oval. All edges were inked with Colorbox inks. The little to/from stamp is from an old SU set.

Full instructions below.

Come back tomorrow for the Toy Soldier punch art instructions.

Christmas Present Tag

Sorry this is a bit late. It was a very busy day yesterday. I'll have today's project later in the day (so two posts in order to catch up).

Next up is the Christmas present punch art tag.

Again, I used my large Accu cut tag die. The punch art is mounted on 2 of the large EK labels. All edges were inked with Colorbox inks. The to/from stamp is by SU.

Full instrucitons below.

Christmas Drum

Today I'm sharing my Christmas drum punch art tag.

I used five 1/8" antique brass brads and a little gold embroidery floss to add the details to the little drum. All edges were inked with colorbox inks. The drum is mounted on the 52 mm scalloped square by PB. The large tag is an Accut cut die and the to/from stamp is from an old SU set.

Christmas punch art card and tags 3

This week will be a toy theme for my Christmas punchart. Take a look below to see all 5 projects.

The toy soldier is a little too big to fit on my large tags so I turned him into a card.  The other designs are large enough to work on cards but also not too alrge so they atill work well on these tags.

Come back tomorrow for the instructions of the first project. As I have in the last two weeks, I will post the close up and the punch art recipe for one of the above each weekday.

Lantern on fence post

Last but not least is the pretty little scenic Christmas card featuring a lantern on a fence post decorated with a little Christmas wreath.

The greeting is again an older SU stamp. As always I have inked all the edges. I used a few punches that may be a little harder to find, but they should all still available. I really like how the gear punch works as a wreath. It's a nice alternate use for that punch.

Although most of the punches used are SU, there are a few PB ones as well. The bow can easily be substituted with any other 1" bow. The triangles could be cut free hand and the scalloped square can be switched out for SUs scalloped square.

Full instructions below.

Mistletoe and Holly Tags

Today I have the instructions for my Misteltoe and holly gift tags.

Again, these are a smaller, simpler design that can be used in pairs or trios on the front of a card, or in singles on tags, small gift boxes and envelopes. They are also the perfect size for an advent calendar.

I accented the berries with Ranger's Glossy Accents and all edges were inked. The to/from stamp is from an old SU set.

Only 2 punches are needed, and believe it or not the leaves were made using the SU bat punch. I bet you never thought there was a use for that punch in a Christmas themed project.

Full instructions below.

Come back tommrow for the last project of the week.
