I hope everyone had wonderful Holidays and a Happy New Year!
It's been a busy few weeks for us. On top of all the holiday celebrations a colleague at work just had a baby end of December (he is the cutest little fellow). We all chipped in and got her a gift card. As I'm the only one in the office that crafts I was elected to make the gift card holder; and who am I to decline the opportunity to play in my craft room..
I decided on a cute little baby bootie made with my SU stocking die:
The bootie is double layers and the cuff opens up to reveal the gift card (We signed the back which I did not emboss)
Supplies used:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Die: SU Stocking die
Punches: Scallop Trim border - SU, 1 1/4" circle- PB, 1 3/4" scallop circle - SU, 1/16" circle punch
Embossing folders: Stripes - SU, Bubbles - Cuttlebug, Ornate Swirls - Sizzix
Ink: Crushed Curry - SU
Misc: 5/8" white organza ribbon
I cut all pieces of the stocking twice. The base in white everything else in sunflower yellow. I then embossed on of the white stockings (the front) with the Ornate swirl pattern, the 2 toe and 2 heel parts with the Bubbles and the cuffs with the stripes pattern.
After punching the scallop trim borders (2) in white I attached them to the bottom of each cuff. Then I glued the toe & heel parts to each of the white stockings. I then sewed along the edges leaving the top open on the stocking and bottom of the cuff.
Add the greeting and bow and you're done.
Up next are 5 "light" themed punch art cards. First of which will be a Chinese New Year inspired card.
This is so sweet! And a great way to use that stocking die!!
