When SU released their "Best of Flowers" set earlier this year I was ecstatic to see it contained the Upsy daisy stamp and bought it with my next purchase.
When it arrived however I was somewhat disappointed. It is much smaller than the original. Apparently the old images are only 70% in size compared to the original.
So I put it aside and ignored it for a while.
Last week I picked it up again and decided to play a little. This is what I came up with.
I do not currently own a brayer (I know hard to believe
isn't it?). So to create the background I used sponge daubers. I started with
yellow, then orange, followed by red, then finished with burgundy. Once the ink has dried
it looks very much like brayerd ink.
With the Upsy daisy image being much smaller I stamped it
several times; first a few times in brown, then towards the front in black.
